Dear Visa, I am apologizing in advance.

Dear Visa,

I am apologizing in advance. Anthropologie launched their new bridal line this week. I am slightly obsessed. I apologize for all the gorgeous shoes I will be buying and to my future bridesmaids (hopefully in the next 20 years this line will still be there)- I am sorry for making you spend lots of money on a bridesmaids dress. But how can you say no?? They are so pretty!

Obvs, I am not getting married anytime soon. Ha.

However, I still am going to post a few of my favs:

Fav bridal gowns:

Ethereal Monarch Gown
$3,200

and the...

Eyelet Medley Sheathe
$1,000

I am also OBSESSED with these bridesmaids dresses... maybe I can convince the brides of all the weddings I'm in this summer/fall to consider them!

Twirled Sweetheart Dress
$240

and...

Beribboned Dress
$200

and of course... my favorite pair of shoes they launched:

Brocade d'Orsay heels
$350

Anyone, feel free to buy me those shoes... just for fun.. I mean my birthday is *less* than a month away... just saying!

a little PR work...

Since I've finished my internship in knoxville and moved back to Atlanta, I have been working at a wonderful boutique named K.la I have only been there for a few weeks now, but I am LOVING working there. It's fun environment, and the girls that work there are fabulous! Check out our website!

So with Valentine's Day coming up, we are having a little special at our stores! I figured why not do a little PR work on the side?

Here is our latest promotion! February 11th (tomorrow) through February 13th, receive a pair of complimentary earrings when you spend $50!

By the way Birmingham friends... we just opened a store at the Summit! Right next to FLIP! Go check it out please :)

Day Two

Day Two: Meaning behind my blog name....

Well, this one is easy. I am sweet, from Georgia and a southern belle! I originally wanted to be "sweet southern belle" but that was already taken so I settled with "sweet georgia belle"

to quote LFO... "(I) come from Georgia where the peaches grow. (I) drink lemonade and speak real slow.."

Just thought I'd leave you with a few of my favorite quotes about southern girls. Enjoy!

"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born, it's an idea and state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, football, and country music. it's being hospitable, devoted to front porches, magnolias, moon pies and coca-cola... and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way."

"When life hands you lemons... squeeze them into some sweet iced tea and thank God you were born a southern girl!"

"Southern girls are God's gift to the entire male population. There is absolutely no woman finer than one raised below the mason-dixon line and once you go southern may the good Lord help you - you never go back.” - Kenny Chesney

"A southern girl is a girl who knows full and well that she can open a door for herself but prefers for the gentleman to do it because it demonstrates a sense of respect. After all, every girl wants to be treated like a princess. We know how to make sweet tea and grits while telling you everything about any football team in the SEC. We pick our battles and fight with the heart of a pit bull while still maintaining grace and elegance. Our mystique is that of a soft-spoken, mild-mannered southern belle who could direct an army, loves her mama and will always be daddy's little girl."

"Something about a southern girl, make me feel right. In a Mississippi morning, she's an angel in flight. In a blink of an eye, she'll be out of your sight...something about a southern girl" -Amos Lee

"Southern girls know the four deadly sins: bad hair, bad manners, bad blind dates and bad dancers"

"Southern women know the joys of June, July, and August: summer tans, wide brimmed hats and adorable sandals!"

I'm a slacker

So lately, I've been a blogger slacker and I apologize for that. Between work, snow days and other random events that have happened recently, blogging was the last thing on my mind.

I will try to be better at it. Maybe?

& my heart turns violently inside of my chest

These last few weeks have been filled with emotion and my heart has been heavy. I just wanted to share a song and a few verses that have been on my mind.

Enjoy.

"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4

"May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

"Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him." Psalm 107:1

"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but its the LORD's purpose that prevails..." Proverbs 19:21
